Vengeance from the grave. The dead never rest easy in Nehwon. Not even in the hypothetical western continent where Fafhrd and the Gray Mouser find themselves traveling across beginning their long journey home back to Lankhmar.
The Howling Tower is the story of one man’s obsessive fear. A fear so great that he selfishly sends strangers to their death time and time again to placate the ghosts of his first victims whose hunger for vengeance is never sated.
Fafhrd finds himself as an unwilling champion against the man’s fear. The Gray Mouser’s supreme cunning and a trip to the astral plane bring the conflict to its ultimate end.
