Off topic perhaps but I had to make mention of this. I grew up watching Scooby Doo, and now my wife and I enjoy watching the new series, Scooby Doo! Mystery Incorporated. It's re-constructionist, self-deprecating take is a lot of fun to watch.
Tonight's episode: The Shrieking Madness!
Get a load of this. While visiting a university, the gang meet up with a professor named H.P. Hatecraft voiced by Jeffrey Combs, a fictional Cthulhu-inspired monster come to life, Harlan Ellison, a Che Guevara stand in, and a fanboy named Howard E. Roberts (can you say Robert E. Howard? -- he even looks like him!), and plot-lines borrowed from Mouth of Madness!
Scooby Doo taking on Cthulhu would have been grand just by itself, but this is definitely a heady mix! Loved all of it!
