The Scrolls come in two parts. The Nehwon Gazetteer and the Scrolls of Lankhmar blog.
Nehwon Gazetteer:
The Gazetteer is a reference of people, places, and other notable features of the world of Nehwon. All entries are cross-referenced with the stories they occur in. Categories are listed in the top left sidebar.
I originally conceived the Gazetteer as a tool for game-masters using Nehwon as their setting for adventures. The idea was to present only information as it can be found in the stories. GMs can from there add their own ideas to the setting.
The Scrolls of Lankhmar Blog:
Whereas the Gazetteer is about what can be found in the stories, the blog is about creating. It is about building a better Lankhmar experience for players and GMs alike.
My aim is to discuss what makes Lankhmar unique, and build the tools to translate that uniqueness into a better RPG experience. How do we capture that Lankhmar feel? Can game mechanics better simulate the setting? How do we get players involved in telling the story?
This is a pretty narrow focus. However, I do not intend to limit discussion to just Lankhmar role-playing. Inspiration, ideas, and knowledge can be gained from topics outside of Lankhmar.
